Legendary DM MZ is close to the revival

Beginning model ES150 from 70 and finishing last litre nacked 1000SF Superfighter, German company MZ created really tremendous and unusual devices. Despite it, motorcycles MZ could not dominate in severe constraints of struggle against the European and Japanese concerns. MZ - one of the companies which has hardly worried an increasing pressure of competitors in the end of the last century. In 1996 the mark was bought by Malaysian company Hong Leong Industries Bhd, and, since then, MZ though was afloat, but hardly made ends meet. And in 2008 in MZ and at all declared end of activity and manufacture dissolution.

However, apparently, that for legendary mark not all is lost. If to trust a note from motor-magazine Motorrad, two former German motor-racers Martin Wimmer and Ralf Waldman have got at Hong Leong the rights to trade mark MZ. Purchase cost is not informed, but, by estimations, it makes about 4-5 million euro.

At present, the company has collected new staff and is going to surprise us new workings out. We will look, whether can MZ begin to shine again in a close sky of the motor-market which is much covered as bright stars of the European and Japanese motor-giants, the promising Korean and Indian companies it is less, and incalculable scattering of the Chinese hardworking imitators and their importers.
